do the laughing scenes sound strange because of the ADR? I always think that when there are scenes when actors are talking while eating it sounds so FAKE AS FUCK no matter what and I reasoned that it has to be because what i'm hearing is them in a booth just pretending to be eating when they re-record their lines.

anyway I think this girl and this scene was the worst in DS9 as far as acting

it really made me think about how irresponsible it is to have kids that young in Starfleet like, at the end of the day, any kind of military organization instills in you a cultlike mentality. i don't care how good or benign the organization may be, that's just the fact of the matter of how those things work. I really think like, 15-17 year olds are too impressionable to be exposed to that shit because it's too easy for exactly what happened in that episode to happen. like what did you think telling a bunch of overachieving teenager's they're gods gift and putting them into a military was gonna do? they basically made Hitler youth.
