And the only way they can still manage to deceive them is with weaponized half-truths created in counter-opposition to something they already know to be false. "Psst, they don't want you to know this but there are actually 80 million other possibile options you could be. You might even have a wrong physical form! Spend your whole life figuring out which one." Hook line and sinker, never realizing the true answer isn't on the list.
And even with all that, some still eventually find their way out, or dodge it entirely.
