If you're at the point where your wife is giving ultimatums and threatening to end your marriage every time you don't cater to her whims the only sensible option is to blow her off and do what you want instead because that shit only stops if the man stops it.
If you keep giving her what she wants she'll just ask for more. It's not even about the stuff, really. She just wants to see who's in charge. And if she can back you down and make you capitulate every single time, then she is.
If you put your foot down and act like a man then that ends the debate if she's actual wife material. And if she's the type who can't abide the guy making his own decisions then the marriage was doomed anyway so best to get out sooner rather than later. Getting divorced sucks but living with a woman who's a toxic narcissist engaging in endless passive-aggressive shit tests and challenges to your authority is pointless. You will hate every second you remain with her and eventually end up getting divorced anyway. Assuming you don't kill her in a fit of rage first. Best to just get on with it one way or another.
