Your install is broken pretty bad, unlike the rest of us. Task Manager and Event Viewer should reveal the issue(s) or at least point you in the right direction.

They just need Chrome or Edge to access their apps hosted by whatever company the district hired to provide what they need and use, and that includes Microsoft and their apps, which can also be accessed through, say, any Linux distro.
