I don't have a problem with dog lovers as long as you don't have a problem with cats.
I grew up with a loving, loyal cat. She came to comfort people when they were sad. She came when called. She met you at the door. She never wailed or bit. All my friends with dogs couldn't keep them from clawing at me and jumping on me at all times because I was tall.
Have some empathy and understand that you could have grown up with an excellent animal friend and turned out very differently if that's what you're going to ask of me.
