if this were 10 years ago I think this could happen but I think sam is so beyond having any integrity whatsoever. he's gone all in on greed and ego and does not care one bit if there's a 100% churn of his fanbase into h3h3-fanbase-esque zombie podcast slop-heads. so long as someone is making him money, he literally does not give a shit. given that sam himself is a groomer (marky thompson), I doubt any of this irks him in the slightest. he has no moral compass whatsoever, and all larping are posturing as if he does has been reduced to "don't say 666". so long as the money's coming in, sam's going to keep playing fallout 3. he has repressed his desire for being a "cool art guy with talent and cultural significance" so much that he's beyond done with life -- partially voluntarily because he's a terrible person, but also because I think somewhere deep down he's at least subconsciously aware that he's not as smart as he thinks he is, and that he doesn't have half the competence necessary to do anything meaningful. so all that matters now is his ego and the bottom line; that's it. the shitshow will only get worse, but it will never stop. mde never dies, but it did become an embarrassing joke.
