That's exactly why I would have liked to have seen it properly, gives him a chance to show it in battle and actually do something that'd make him feel like so much more of an equal to his sister. Especially since if I remember correctly both he and Chichi got stronger than Maple through that.

Yeah the pace was really damn fast all things considered. There are still moments where she fell back on old habits but she did at least actually try with it.
>It's even funny that both Sai and Tuffle Quest have a character who's a bit too serious for the setting, but Vegeta was just boring, while Trip being a more stern buddhist looks novel when around sillier characters. Helps she was friendly too.
It also helps that part of her character arc was learning to be less extremely stoic and serious and more open to accepting some of the quirks of the setting. I think there's a point in Z where Pantea has her try out some videogames, with her being absolutely terrible at them but being able to find the humor in that.

I did like that she held off on Raichi for it. The first hint we got of the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans was actually some forewarning of how badly things could be if we lost, and then the actual Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans ended up all that bigger an event to cap off Z.
