How do you deal with McGriddle's annoying turrets?

I've taken the low elo turret pill with McGinnis. Don't even build gun or go for objectives. Just sit back, defend the blue walker and farm while listening to tunes. Once my team gets a good fight, solo farm the midboss and almost guarantee the win. I swear, once the enemy team sees it's 20 minutes in and the blue walker is still up they get desperate, just walk into the turrets and my team gets free kills. God, I love low elo.
