what are some turn-based games where equipment makes a difference past stat buffs? like needing a shield equipped to block attacks for, example

i asked this in a previous thread and got dq9 and ff6, i don't mind older games but are there any others like this from the last five years or so?

Serious question though. Wizard or Sorcerer in WOTR? Which do you prefer? I can't fucking decide. On one hand i like knowing every single spell, on the other hand i like having a fuck load of spell at the ready "just in case"
