This is like me saying I'm 36 and i've never watched WWE and yet i go to WWE forums and shit on WWE. At one point i have to begin asking myself, why am i doing this with my time?
If you don't watch anime, you literally miss like 50% of the appeal or more. I'm using JP VA and i literally started smiling because the voice actress for Augusta is using "umu" instead of saying "yes" in japanese, which boosted my enjoyment of the story significantly due to gap moe, another thing you don't even know about. You probably don't give a flying fuck about anime onomatopoeia so this will fly over your head, if you even use JP audio to begin with(you probably don't).
tl;dr you're out in the boonies of eastern culture and are surprised to find out that you don't like
