True. Not the subhumans part, but you're getting too old.
Vtubers are mimicking the trajectory anime, cartoons, games, comics, and manga all did. You even see people who religiously watch flesh streamers trying to say they're better because at least they donate to real people.
Meanwhile "vtubers" are becoming synonymous with "Hololive" since the only group that's popular enough to warrant worldwide attention is Hololive.
>Songs in One Piece?
Hololive girl.
>Dante's VA liking someone?
Hololive girl.
>Working with Disney?
Hololive girl.
>Being in Kojima's game?
Hololive girl.
>Working with the Dodgers and another baseball team?
Hololive girls.
>Official Sonic ambassador?
Hololive girl
etc.
And since Hololive treats vtubers more as "virtual idols" instead of "virtual streamers", they're paid a high salary resulting in these talents not even wanting you to donate. Merch yes, since "you get something out of it", but never pure donations like superchats and never outside of your own means.
If you hate streamers and find vtubing to be a subset of that, that's fine since regardless of what they do, they still end up just streaming (whether it be games, their concerts, their art creation, cooking, gunpla, etc.). If you just hate vtubers but find streamers fine, that's just irony. Hololive (or "vtubers") being in games is nothing new (100% OJ was made by some vtubers now in Hololive) so seeing Kojima's game be a "wake-up" for people is extremely strange.
