my vidya circle includes a group of people who run their "campaigns" every weekend. even when we're playing vidya they're constantly making in-jokes and references to their DnD game and characters as if it's another vidya IP we've played (like how would X react in this situation)
it's unbelievably cringe as hell from an external point of view
