It's frustrating that so many people here defend the game despite it's rampant casualization. I know there are many good players here who are capable of handling a challenge yet they still defend the tragedy this game has become. The game can still be fun but was infinitely more fun when the enemies were super deadly and relentless.
>"B-but it was always easy!!"
That doesn't mean the solution was to make it outright braindead. What's the point of having TEN difficulty modes if they're all easy slop and everyone just jumps to D10 anyways? AH are incompetent cowards for letting themselves get bullied by redditors and diverdads. Or maybe they just wanted money $$$ all along.

>It's not real difficulty unless I say so! No its not hard! It's just "annoying" or "bullshit"
Come on dude
>high difficulty should have every mission end up with zero reinforcements left and the emergency extraction triggered because there's no time left.
WTF are you smoking? Missions that end like that are always the most fun and intense.
how you end up with stupid shit like the hulk with bunker turrets that instakills you the second it sees you (and if it doesn't, it ragdolls you and then instakills you), the bugs having a near guaranteed injury when they hit you through any armor, the shotgun flame devs that randomly one-shot you at a 50 meters range with 75% fire resist and 150 armor, the sentries and DSS targeting your ass on purpose (both with strafing runs and the old orbital bombardment), the old armored striders with unavoidable non-telegraphed instakill rockets and the fucking leviathans.
Yes, enemies that can actually kill you is nice and what makes a difficult mode, difficult. Not sure about sentries intentionally targeting though. And I miss the old rocket striders before they got neutered into a non threat and were given the biggest, slowest, and goofiest telegraph for their attack. What they did to rocket striders was embarrassing. Fire shotgun devs might be the only legitimate point you have but you can still kill them easily without dying if you really try.
How to fix squids:
>Reduce voteless spawns by half
>Reduce flesh mob hp to 25% of what it is now and cut their spawn rate in half
>Remove Tesla tower or nerf their damage by 80%
>Remove energy shields from harvesters and ships
>Remove ablative armor from all over seers and reduce their health by half
>Reduce leviathan spawn to one per map and reduce it's armor value across the board and it's health by half.
There, that was easy. These changes would make squids both fair and fun to fight. It took me 5 minutes to come up with that list but it takes the swedeniggers over 60 days to fix their game.

We are never gonna get a real hard mode because redditors and /hdg/ will seethe that an optional, high difficulty mode requires some effort to beat. AH has rewarded and fostered an uniquely terrible form of entitlement from the community that will continue to have detrimental effects on the game's future. And yes I do group all bufftroons together as the same thing because their buff begging is all equally damaging to the game.

Are you even Swedish? Helldivers 2 is a good game.
