Is a huge part of how women treat men based on them projecting narcissistic fantasies onto men's actions and intent?
I get the feeling I am treated like a creepy stalker who is obsessed with women when I as much as make a point to talk to them or remember some small detail about them to make small talk (how is your dog type stuff). I want to be clear here, I am not talking about women I am actually interested in, just ones I think it would be nice to be friends with.
I get treated like I am making a move that is unwanted... ok sure but I really would rather be friendly with the people I work with than pretend we are Stranges every day. I am maybe a little more friendly with girls than I am with guys but I feel that is normal social behavior.
Am I missing something or are women treating men more in line with whatever they project upon them than what the men are actually doing?
PS yes I think its mostly narcissistic female fantasies about the people being far more interested in them that women are projecting upon men in most cases.
is it just projection?
