i dont really know anon, there's no secret method to make friends. genuinely care about them, keep trying, everything is a bit forced at the start and it doesnt feel right, it's okay.
its harder to find the right person rather than connect with the wrong ones, so, if after a while they dont seem to care as much, try someone else i guess. or you could just keep them as buddies, not every relationship has to be a close one.
