I think one of the main jarring factors remaining in zones is the way mountains look. DT introduces some good stuff, and the 7.1 updates to the ARR zones makes mountains and cliffsides and the like way less ugly, so I hope the same happens for some other parts of the game. Looking at you, Lakeland. With your crumpled paper mountains.

In general, the 7.2 changes to most post-ARR zones feel less intense than the 7.1 changes to ARR zones. With a few exceptions, the 7.1 update to ARR zones really made that stuff look good. From the foliage, to the ground textures, to the trees, to the cliff face and rock textures.
7.2 didn't really fix the weird look of the old pre-DT mountains for HW/SB/ShB/EW zones like 7.1 did for ARR zones. They do look better, just not to the same extent. So I hope they're still working on it more. Lakeland still has probably the ugliest fucking mountains the game has to offer.
