You serious? Man. I actually don't know what to say about that. Uh, Spike Spiegel is the protagonist of the anime Cowboy Bebop, an anime largely based on western themes and aesthetics that's generally considered to be one of the greatest anime of all time, with an english dub legendary for being actually really good featuring the talents of Steve Blum as Spike Spiegel.
The scene where Spike dies (some people argue over whether or not he actually died but it kinda doesn't matter since the story is over anyway and also themes and shit yadda yadda) is considered to be one of the most iconic character death scenes of all time, even outside of anime discussions.
I personally like to make comparisons between Spike and Clover specifically because of how they both die even when their friends really don't want them to, even though Spike's reasons for doing what he did were arguably much more selfish and small-scale than what Clover died for.
I particularly like to imagine Clover dying in a similar way, since the general presentation of Spike's death is also just really cool all around.
