>Let him with eyes see and him with ears hear, for here is wisdom
The following is one of a great many truths.
Every living being is an incarnation of the one limitless consciousness. Call it God, Jesus, Source, Providence, The Prime Mover, whatever. It goes by many names but it is the creator. A being that is omniscient and omnipotent can only suffer from one thing, and can only lack one thing. God suffers from boredom and stagnation due to a lack of limitation.
Have younever played a video game with cheats enabled? Gets boring pretty quick right? You need limits (rules) to make it fun.
So what does God do? It creates an infinite, procedurally generated, sandbox universe and incarnates as every living thing, in order to experience limitation. But there's a catch. Mortality, pain, suffering, disease, LIMITATION, are all dulled and rendered meaningless when one knows they are, in fact, the creator. So God must make it so that, when incarnated, it does not remember what it is, so that these features (yes features, not bugs!) may induce the desired and appropriate effect.
So why did jesus let those kids die?
Because he wants to experience each death, each moment of suffering, the grief of their families, personally. And maybe to see if his limited incarnated self could overcome that.
