Once the rock is roasted I dump it in a steel pot and crush it to powder with an air hammer. Then it gets screened into a gold pan.

it's working pretty good but I'm working in my garage with the door closed so the noise doesn't bother my neighbors. So I'm wearing a respirator and earplugs and glasses.

so what I've been doing is crushing gold ore from a local mine using an air hammer.

I have a rag tied around the hammer to keep oil out of my ore. Crushing it in a pot to catch the gold.
