That's literally how car windows are designed to work, retard. Front windshields are designed not to shatter under any circumstances for the safety of the occupants. Side windows are designed to shatter from the slightest touch for the safety of everyone else on the road, and also to facilitate rapid ingress/egress of the vehicle in the case of an emergency.
