So you know how you start with a wand that shoots a spell, and a wand with some sort of explosive?
When you get to the first holy mountain, if you haven't found any good spells or wands yet, take the spell on your first wand and put it on your explosive wand instead of the explosive. It will typically work out to be a higher-DPS wand that can get you through the coalpits

The wand without the light is casting the whole wand with each shot
With the light, it tries to cast the light spell, but as it has no projectile attached to it, it wraps to the front of the wand and starts casting every spell again till it finds a projectile
This causes the light wand to effectively cast the whole wand twice before reload

In this example, the bifuricated formation is calling for two spells to cast, does not find them and so casts the start of the wand again, causing the whole wand to be cast twice before reload.

You forgot to mention one of the most power parts of spell wrapping: all the modifiers attached to the wrapped spells are applied to the wand once again. The Megumin wand goes from 1 Heavy Spread's worth of recharge/reload discounts to 2 which is why if fires so much faster. This is especially powerful with Add Mana.

I did a lot of exploration but never cared too much for the post-game quests or whatnot. Figuring out how to get strong with what you got early-mid game is the most fun part and now I often intentionally prefer making less OSHA compliant wands as often as possible to prevent myself from getting too far and into the boring zone.

Go left to fungal zone in the mines. It will make you better at the game and the loot will gear you up for hiisi base filter. Don't linger in hiisi, just get in and get out. Take your time in the jungle because it is way less dangerous and gear up there. Bee line to the end and don't explore any of the vault or temple. It's that easy.

There are no exploits, only knowledge gained.
The unlockable "add trigger" spells, which make the next projectile spell have one of the Trigger traits, also causes every modifier spell in between to be cast for free.
If this was an exploit, it would have been patched out.

Depends what it is. I'll usually keep poly and pheromone, slurp berserk and accell on my way and fill up next puddle, and sometimes will save acid for cheap down digging. There's plenty of dumpable potions in the mines, so just avoid fire until then.

Least requirements I've found to hit yourself with healing bolt is just putting double cast on a teleport wand with low spread. If you do this, they'll travel about the same speed and direction, but it's inconsistent unless you find the right sweetspot of distance from and angle to a wall for the projectiles to line up right

He's right. The first couple floors are enough to gear you up with a full kit, albeit not fully upgraded, especially if you hit up the side areas. 2nd floor also has a fuckton of gold in the terrain.

Light is a modifier spell, so it looks for something to modify. Since it's at the end, it just goes back to the start of the wand and casts what's there. You'd be surprised at how many seemingly useless spells are powerful if placed correctly.
For example, Heavy Spread placed on the payload of a trigger will still give you the recharge time decrease while not having any significant effect on accuracy Your mileage may vary if you're using explosive payloads

Go slow, check corners and spaces before committing to them. Listen, a lot of creatures have distinct sounds when moving and idling. Gold is not worth blood until much later. If you get the tome on the first stage (to the right), killing with it can give you double gold. Get at least 1000g before the first holy mountain. On the second stage Coal Pits you want to go left to the Fungal Caverns. In there you find your early powerful wands and spells, but it is a dangerous place, you need to get there with lots of HP. If you don't feel the run by the following holy mountain, restart, no point in wasting time when you can quickly shuffle into a god-run. Tinker with Wands Anywhere is the path to power.

I usually format my wand slots as:
1. Melee/Digging
2. Work-horse rapid-fire that doesn't kill me, hopefully
3. Deletus ; area-effect spell for rapid mob control
4. Variant ; usually teleporting+healing, but can be other things.

Power is better with finesse.

Because I doubt anyone's going to get this without using the wand sim, lemme try to explain what's happening here. The first thing to understand is that Noita wands function kind of like a deck of MTG or Yugioh cards. Casting draws a spell from the deck, puts it in the hand, and starts executing its effects. If those effects involve drawing another spell, like all modifiers do, that spell will interrupt the first one's execution - it's put on the 'chain', to use Yugioh terminology. Once the chain finishes all cards in the hand are moved to the discard pile, and the wand is ready for its next cast (or a recharge, if the deck is empty).

Incidentally, this is also why the wand stat that determines if your spell order gets randomized is called 'shuffle', and why the multicasts have a number of cards as their icon, since they essentially just work as a draw 2/3/4.

So, casting starts and d10 is drawn. d10 copies the spell at the top of the deck, attempts to cast it 10 times (with modified stats, but we only care about projectile count right now), and then attempts to discard the spell it copied directly from the deck. The spell it copies is omega, which looks through the discard pile, the hand and the deck in that order and attempts to cast any spell it finds there. The discard pile is empty, so it moves to the hand and casts d10. This second d10 in the chain again copies the omega from the top of the deck. This is where the recursion limit kicks in - this second omega in the chain attempts to cast d10, but doing so would exceed the recursion limit, so d10 is skipped. Next it looks at the hand, finds its original self and again doesn't cast it due to the recursion limit. Finally is the arrow, which it is able to cast since it's not a spell that can do recursion, and after that this omega expires. 1 arrow in the cast state so far, d10 in the hand, omega and arrow in the deck, chain consisting of d10->omega->d10.

This d10 expires, after which the second omega on the chain starts looking at the deck, finds it empty and promptly expires as well. However, the first omega in the chain just cast itself, but when continuing to look through the discard pile it now finds an arrow, and casts it (22 so far). Then it casts the d10 in the hand, but this d10 finds nothing in the deck to cast so it expires immediately, followed by the omega when it likewise finds nothing else.

Now we're back to the original d10 cast, which is now ready for its third omega cast. This omega casts itself from the discard pile, but this second omega can't because of the recursion limit. It then casts an arrow (23 total), a d10 that does nothing and expires. The first omega continues, casts the arrow (24 total), the d10 (which does nothing) and expires. Now the original d10 cast repeats this 7 more times, each time casting another 2 arrows, for a grand total of 38 arrows.
