It makes sense for her though, thrusting the spear is a practical killing/incapacitating move, but she is an entertainer doing a lot more choreographed moves with a lot of spins and jumps (like a star wars light saber fight) to make a showy match. Jiyan on the other hand has a lot of thrust moves.
