I do like the Schizo theory that Kris is actually "The Girl" and the They/Them shit and masculine presentation is just a deranged ploy to derail the prophecy or something. Absolutely not the case, but would be funny.
In reality I think it's just that either player characters we control automatically become "ambiguous" or that Humans in Undertale/Deltarune are all just... naturally weird sexless ambiguous player inserts because their reality works on vidya logic and humans are "player characters" or something like that.

I like to think the reason Frisk doesn't have TP is because he doesn't need it. Kris is resistant against us, so we need to build up resources to force the party to do certain actions, you can see this from the TP cost of susie's heal going up when she doesn't want to use it. Frisk on the other hand is perfectly in sync with us, and is always trying their best to follow commands except in a few specific circumstances, so they have no need for TP.
