ALL of the ball fortunes pertain to chapter 3, even the one about mizzles, so necessarily the chair-based ass-kicking happened in chapter 3. But where? Where did the chair kick our ass? The only ambiguous and difficult fights in the entire chapter were the knight and ERAM, and even then ERAM's dialogue ("enough of that, we both have work to do") heavily implies that they're the knight anyway.

As to the hope bit I just remember seeing her say that line outright, "Hope crossed on my heart" or something to that (hope and cross and heart). I just can't remember if it was pre prophecy (helping her be the 2nd hero) or after (meaning she's trying to make herself into it).

It's what I think is neat with writing a prophecy right - you can have multiple correct interpretations. With your mentioning of the pen while that'll happen in any route I still just have this feeling of "three heroes being those three is way too straightforward".

I don't necessarily buy the "happened before and there was a prior group of heroes" either, I just found that findher, love-finds-its-way-to-the-girl to be interesting. At the same time swapping in a new character midway through and making them central feels like a big gamble.

Sure, but those are pretty weak connections especially because I think they work just fine when disconnected from each other. I think the titan has more room to work with since there is still a lot we don't know about them, but the titan spawn existing in darkness makes sense with what we know about the rules of darkness and its angel wings most likely have a more direct connection with the angel considering that they are literally angel wings. It's possible that one, even some, of the above could be true at the same time, but all of them needing to be true together compounds the unlikeliness of it being true.
