Neither side is anywhere nearly organized to do that. The real answer is those people that want to project their views unto reality so they feel as though they have not, personally, failed.
There's no end-game. There is just regret and angst at their own life choices and trying to will reality to be somewhere they matter and aren't outside of the norm.
