Susie then continues talking as if nothing happened, because no time had actually passed
Kris then tells her not to talk about it anymore

My best interpretation is that YOU clamped down hard on Kris in that moment to prevent them from saying anything about what happened with Noelle. Kris got the message loud and clear and told Susie to stop talking about it because they're now afraid of what YOU might do to her if she gets in the way of whatever we're doing with Noelle.
Something like this was already implied to happen during Snowgrave, where you/Kris complete ignore Ralsei prompting you to peek in on what Susie's doing with Noelle. This is just being presented much more dramatically and jarringly.
It's also possible that it represents Kris freezing up when Susie asks the question, and there's no options because they feel panicked and trapped and don't know what to do. This lines up a bit more with Kris panicking and blacking out (represented by the screen turning red) if you choose to "Think of Noelle" later in the Chapter, and that they tell Susie on their own to stop asking about it.
Either way, neither YOU or Kris want Susie sticking her nose in the Weird Route shit.

Time loop theory has opened up the possibility to me that Susie is actually fucked up and is keeping the entire world in stasis against its will.
This would build resentment towards her for anyone aware of the loop, or fear that knocking her out of it would make something even worse happen. Ralsei makes a huge point on normal and Snowgrave about things being fine "as long as Susie's happy".

Noelle being a wild card is interesting because both Kris and Ralsei fear her potential and choices. Maybe Noelle doing something even worse than looping is what Ralsei fears, but she might be key in changing things just the same as Susie.
I can see Noelle and Carol being all for any change and any different fate considering Dess is gone and Rudy is dying.

Could you imagine if you eventually grew to resent Susie for ironically being the wall of fate?

For example if playing all pianos in a chapter unlocks a sound test room in Ralsei Castle for all chapters It'd be worth doing, if it just places a piano in Kris' Dark World room it'd be lame unless it's something like a Chapter 4 puzzle where you have to get notes, play that specfic piano and something opens

Same with Moss finding, if we get a moss spot in Kris's Dark World room which gives us moss items in the inventory it'd be a fun little thing, maybe impliment the Trefoil weapon as a reward, it'd be funny if we got a optonal Mossman darkner battle from the moss-detecting ability especially if the moss alighnment from Chapter 2 comes back
