I think Ralsei developing real romantic love and yearning is a natural progression of his character. His whole thing has been denying himself and his own very real feelings and desires as "selfish" because he knows he's doomed from The Prophecy, it's only natural that he would feel and deny his own love too.
Susie has consistently shown an aversion to romance which has come up with Kris, Noelle and Ralsei. Whenever she's in a situation that touches on romance she becomes very conscious of "saying something/being weird." I'm sure some tumblr faggots would interpret this as being "asexual/aromantic," but I would take the normal interpretation of greatly valuing their friendship and being afraid of losing it or spoiling it by taking things any further, it's very normal behavior for somebody who's afraid of rejection.

This is all just character analysis, I have no delusion about making any of these dolls kiss each other in the game, but I do think Ralsei/Susie is a natural pairing with a lot of chemistry that's been severely neglected by the fans.
Like if Deltarune was anything but a video game following Kris's perspective, this would easily be a top pairing.

They have a really cute dynamic and their relationship got a lot of focus in the past two chapters, it's not too hard for me to imagine them going closer and Susie dropping the tough girl act a little to get more affectionate with him
