I have like 2k hours in Rimworld and started playing in 2017, but i agree with the statement.
It's no good to spend all of your time gaming even if youre holding a job down and stuff.
Ive got holes in my brain bc i used to work part time for a few years, 4-5 hours a day and then i'd just game like a degenerate.
Never learned any skills, developed friendships, gotten life experience etc.
Nowadays i'm literally an onfocused dazed moron. Used to be way worse. I think its just cause of how much brain you dont use if youre in work-game stasis.
And also itd not the fault of vidya. I was just depressed and spiralling out into any gripping form of escapism. I'm just saying if you rack up thousands of hours in vidya thats a sign you'll be killing yourself if nothing changes.
