What if I have neither?
It felt really underbaked at various parts.
I did all the side quests and it was painful. The main story is just the best way the play. More over the game was WAY too afraid of you struggling so they over tuned it into being easy and not letting you play hard mode until you finish the game once and if you were me who 100%'d everything I didn't want to do a 2nd playthrough just because the side quests were fucking exhausting and boring to do.
But some of the side quests actually have some pretty neat and important lore and emotional beats so you'd have to figure which are worth doing and which aren't
There's also kind of no fucking point in making the world semi-open world because there's NOTHING do there except for the Hunts. The hunts are fun and worth it but that's all there is to do.

Personally I don't like it, it attracts too much attention from anything in your shots. But it's not a bad sculpt by any means, it just doesn't fit. I admire you that you like it yourself, that's all that matters.
