Well, Parallel Susie got in, Gooey is front and center and has a DL3 color scheme alt, Kine is a stage element, so Sakurai is utilizing the whole Kirby history for this one. They'll probably add the 'leine, and they're saving her big reveal for later, like they did with Star Allies (where they reversed the usual order to save her for last in Wave 2).

The weird thing is that HAL isn't REALLY the one doing this. It's more like they did a reset on the character in K64 and basically ignored that she was ever in KDL3 (save for unnamed appearances in Triple Deluxe keychains). The only sources that draw direct attention to it are third-party sources, notably the licensed Shogakukan and Kadokawa books.
Alternatively, Shimomura is schizophrenic and currently residing in a padded white room.
