It's important to note that "Duelist" doesn't exist anymore, and neither does "Shadow"
Duelist is now Gladiator and Shadow is now Assassin.

Obviously Shadow and Assassin look the same, but they definitely changed Duelist/Glad a lot. He is no longer a handsome gigachad that killed a noble for talking shit to him that all of the ladies flirt with. I actually liked his personality the most. One of my favorite quotes from the game is:

Lies of P released on Gaypass, I don't know if this game did. Lies of P was also the game that eventually allowed these games to be successful. It still sold 3M copies (which I think is more than Stellar Blade) despite having a lower CCU, that is because Lies of P had good legs and strong sales thanks to positive word of mouth.
Before LoP the only good game that was even similar was Nioh 2, and Nioh 2 is more like a Ninja Gaiden game than a Souls game, frankly. LoP is like an actual Souls-like that is just really good.
