I mean the Tau are collectivists but like, to an extreme degree because they're all literally being mind controlled. The only "free" Tau society are the Farsight Enclaves and I guess you could call them fascist since they appear to be a military government run by the Fire Caste. Capitalism just doesn't even seem to be a thing Tau think about, and non-mind controlled communism was tried before the Ethereals showed up and just like in real life it failed miserably and everyone wanted to kill everyone else.
