I'd really like to be able to see them again, where we get to see the state of their rebuilding effort.
In line with people wanting a bounty hunter focused game I think it'd be cool if you had it where you could earn stuff doing all sorts of missions and then use those earned resources to do things like provide aid or achieve other goals.
Like one mission has you helping to evacuate a colony because it's going to get nuked and then later you help it reestablish by providing materials and doing patrol missions in the area.
Stuff that ties together things that Samus would do like that.

At a base level that wouldn't have been so bad conceptually if the framing works. So maybe you have a prequel, or you have a very particular circumstance, and if you hand it to the player correctly they can at least accept that the character isn't going to be doing what they usually do.
The problem is that the events were so retarded all of that goes out the window, like anon's point about her being a total bystander, or the beaten horse of not using the Varia suit while melting to death just so the story can make a point.
