For me, what it comes down to is that everything this game does well, it does SO well that all of my complaints and criticisms just fall by the wayside. There are places where I think it comes up a little short
>some of the quests are a bit GAY
>muckfaggot areas have too much presence while some of the better areas like sands of karak and mout fay are underused
>the economy is ass
>etc.
But none of that matters to me when I run around the stunning environments, listen to the amazing music, fall in love with the absolutely endearing characters all over the place, make my bellhouse a bellhome, and follow the story, which is fucking PEAK cinema bros. The the introductions to every single act, especially act 3, are sublime. The vast majority of the bosses were fun and memorable. Building up the settlements was personally rewarding. Exploring the world was engaging. I had a good time most of the time I was playing, and the times where I wasn't were easily excusable because of how much fun I had the rest of the time. I haven't even finished the game yet, still in the middle of act 3 going for 100% or whatever is closest before the final boss. I loved this game

I didn’t hate the high enemy health or touch damage until the Forum gauntlet.

Sure but it doesn’t change the fact that it goes on for too long and the abundance of flying enemies kill whatever fun any gauntlet could have.
