So far I have
explored Lost Verdania. Some of the best music in the game. Idk what you fags are on about saying the music is weaker than HK. Fun area with a cool concept, but I think they should have taken it further. It would have been cool if there were interactions between the past and the present somehow. Gay prince fight was nice. I now have his gay heart
I also explored the new far fields area, though I think I saw someone's map with some extra places at the very bottom that I have no idea how to get to? Karmelita the slutsinger was a very fun fight imo. Really enjoyed it. I also liked that big outcast ant. So far everything in act 3 has been good. I've also explored some of the earlier places just to see what's changed and try to find the places I missed those last few items I need. I'm missing 2 spools, a few relics, and 2 charms. Gonna give the whole map a once over before I cave and ask these threads for help

I like this game and I have criticized a lot in these threads, but the thing is that it sucks how a good game has been playtested that little and it has shackles and handicaps dragging it back.

I killed last judge, I killed all the beastflies, I killed Groal, I platformed through all the sections, I beat up all the difficult parts. I already have the "git gud" medal. And I can say this game has a lot of bullshit, artificial difficulty and it doesn't have the charm the first game had. Maybe with some patches it can recover, but it's clear the devs fall for the difficulty meme that shit like dark souls II or Elden ring has.

You can make challenging fights without enemy ganks, health sponges, acid pools instead of ground or one hit death attacks. There was no need. things like cogwork dancers or last judge were cool fights, and I wouldn't mind if they made them even more challenging with more comboed and attacks, but they are obscured by bullshit like backtracking.

For me, what it comes down to is that everything this game does well, it does SO well that all of my complaints and criticisms just fall by the wayside. There are places where I think it comes up a little short

The the introductions to every single act, especially act 3, are sublime. The vast majority of the bosses were fun and memorable. Building up the settlements was personally rewarding. Exploring the world was engaging. I had a good time most of the time I was playing, and the times where I wasn't were easily excusable because of how much fun I had the rest of the time. I haven't even finished the game yet, still in the middle of act 3 going for 100% or whatever is closest before the final boss. I loved this game

Stay near the top of the screen, if you get hit while high up you have a chance to recover. Staying on a low platform means a single hit is a guaranteed loss.
Keep an eye on huge flea when he appears. If he destroys all platforms on his first pass, another will appear right after he leaves, but if there's still a platform after that first pass, you need to touch it to regain your double jump before he destroys it on his second pass. Seeing the two maps side by side really comfirms my suspicions that Silksong is a step back in terms of map design. In HK, each area has tons of links to other areas. The only area that has only a single entrance point is the Abyss for story reasons wheras SS has several ereas that you can only enter one or two ways only.

It was probably the most well hidden area in the entire game. The only indication is a tiny wooden plank and around the time you're exploring there you will have no mind at all for double jumping or anything.
