cpus becaome faster, more efficent and having a better Instructions per cycle, the chip in my handheld pc, the ryzen z1 extreme runs absolute rings around that old phenom while using nearly 1/4 of the power, like sure its interesing you got a pc to last as long as this but the power usage difference alone probably outweighs not upgrading at this point
