Yes, that's in addition to Grey Haze Disease and I think it's the widescreen format.

I noticed this first with Family Guy and The Simpsons, but it's all over live action too. Each character takes up a quadrant of the screen, it's very flat, and there's no interesting staging. It's bland and cookie cutter.
