I watched it very loud in my home theater, far away from the pause button (yes, I am convinced that knowing you can quickly press space-bar at any time makes horror less suspenseful) and I found the horror elements to be quite good. also loud = scary really got me at one point when the main chick was looking at the ceiling. i didn't just get jump scared i actually felt a weird sensation in my back. was quite good. maybe I just don't watch horror loud enough typically.
anyway of course it becomes a genre film as it goes on, which is always the problem with horror, and as it unwinds it becomes less spooky instead of more.

still, I'd give it a 7/10 which is as high a score as horror can get. at the end of the day it's a movie mostly meant to entertain, you're not gonna be thinking about anything interesting after leaving, except maybe "yea that was kinda fun"

why pick Unity over UE for 3D?
if you turn off Lumen and Nanite and you're making a low poly style 3D game, then performance is not gonna be a problem, and UE5 has Metahuman and Blueprints, while Unity has... C# I guess?
As for Godot, I don't understand why it's used at all. But I'm also a nodev (as of now)
Genuine question btw.
