I'm just referring to Trump. Not the whole Republican party. I'm sure there are Republicans implicated by Epstein; but I don't think there's anything in there that would destroy Trump's political career or else it would have leaked while Biden was in office if not earlier.
The degree to which Trump is now part of the swamp is debatable and difficult to gauge in my opinion; but there's no denying that the political establishment has moved very heavily against him with various lawfare tactics, a very sketchy election and possible involvement in an assassination attempt.
My feeling is that Trump is being pressured to keep the files quite on behalf of the intelligence agencies as well as likely on behalf of friends of his who would be implicated. For example Roy Cohn, Trump's former mentor was supposed to have given an interview in which he suggested that he was part of a sexual blackmail ring that controlled various politicians. While Trump may not directly be implicated he might still be motivated to protect the reputation of his friends.
