The big question is how locked down they are about files on that subscription app. Does the format restrict them from adding the same functionality the 3DS classic Pokemon releases had where the saves could be manipulated so they could transfer mons to the modern games? Who knows.

The frustrating thing is, we are FINALLY going to get some Pokemon RPGs on the service with Colosseum/XD but since those aren't actually Game Freak developed, I feel like I wouldn't be surprised if they are just gonna dump those and not offer any sort of transfer anyway. They also did Pokemon Stadium with no GB connectivity which is awkward (even if I did have fun beating Round 1 with just rentals a while ago) but not that out there.

The real test would only be if we got the mainline Game Boy games some day and if those have transfer or not. I want to believe, but I doubt.

Didn't buy it. Nothing against it, I sincerely think it looks great. It's just not what I'm after right now. The thought of another big open "find stuff on your own" kind of game when I have three others on the backlog that I want to get to isn't enticing.

Doing the Wo-Chien raids in Pokemon Violet. It's nice getting to play this without it running like dogshit.
Also playing Metroid Prime Remastered, it's fun as fuck. Just got the Wave Beam.
