Thats cool you decided to actually read it. That book had quite an impact on me, i think moreso than anything else ive read in a long time. I dont agree with all of it either, particularly the use of the judeo term Satan to describe the demiurge, but i understand the intent behind doing that as valid, to a degree. Not entirely sure why you think rebellimg against the demiurge, as an illusory body/soul attempting to awaken and wholly become Spirit, would necessarily “cause pain”. I dont really see that as self evident at all. Perhaps you could explain more what you mean. Also, theres another book which Id say is supplementary to Forbidden Religion, called “Hyperborean Physics” which goes into the mechanics of the whole Divine Spark/Spirit thing. Havent finished it myself but its only 98 pages
