Horses are harder to animate and a character with a non-humanoid body is harder to fit into stories that aren't specifically designed to accommodate them. But most importantly it's probably because genuine horse pussy is a massive normalfag filter. Umamusume is the best example of this. Even though the setting would've been perfect for a centaur focus, all the girls were given safe designs where they only have horse ears/tails instead. And to be frank, it worked, Uma's went mainstream since they appealed to a broader general audience. I think centaurs, and monstergirls in general, have a problem where they sit in the middle too much. Can't appeal to people who want tame human-like designs, but also not considered beastial enough for the full furry crowd.

I've seen this trope a couple times but do you think it makes sense? Would a monstergirl (Assuming they were born as one) care this much about their weight in comparison to normal humans? Wouldn't their race have their own standards for healthy body weights?
