Was sort of poor in the 90s and although I had a PSone, only becuase an uncle couldn't afford some mechanical work my dad did for him, we would not have had any cool console growing up. I never had a Gameboy color, although I really wanted one and missed out on the pokemon games because of that. Now, as an adult, I'm obsessed with small retro gadgets and emulators. Didn't have final fantasy 7 but got to enjoy mk4 and other cool games on my ps1. Never skateboarded because our parents didn't like us outside on the street, so I was mostly a TV head. At least we had cable and got to see all the movies, though. Mostly for me, the 90s wasn't that great, but it seemed like it was a good time for others who were more fortunate. I always had shitty shoes too because my dad was a cheapass, now I wear 300$ boots to make up for that and dress better than most people. I guess the era did give me character and made me who I am.
