Cancer was always going to be an RNG fest, but then again not every practice room is created equal especially when only two different people than you will enter on average. If those two are mediocre it's not exactly the best test, which is why you have to run a lot of them. Still, RNG screwed even some good trainers here. There were some people who barely had a 10% win ratio and managed to luck a Platinum win.

I wasted my first ticket without a Neicha, only won 1 race but saw that in all 5 races someone had one so I went out of my way to do a quick career run to build one
couldn't get past her last Arima Kinen and she ended up being a C+, but her Wit stat was high enough and I had 10 debuff skills so I just shoved her in my team and proceeded to win 4/5 races from the following CM attempt
so yeah it's extremely easy to build a functional one which is why everyone has one
