this may be a retarded question but doesn't act 3 get solved by Hornet just... doing nothing?
GMS is hanging onto dear life with her silk threads, which are all over Pharloom. and the Void is consuming her and her threads, so it's grabbing onto Pharloom
however we see in the Lost Lace fight that GMS is rapidly losing all her remaining silk. she is on the brink of losing her grip and can't really holy back the Void once she runs out of silk. she's about to get swallowed up by the Void along with Lace
and as we see in the ending, GMS being consumed by the Void doesn't actually do anything bad to Pharloom. her threads just vanish, the Void doesn't eat Pharloom
knowing that, couldn't Hornet just wait a few hours for GMS to run out of strength/silk? GMS and Lace would get eaten by the Void, the threads that are letting the Void enter Pharloom would vanish, and Pharloom would be fine. the situation would sort itself out on its own
