It must be. Used to work in a restaurant where the general manager was like 5 years clean and liked to hire ex meth heads. In all the years I was there I can count on one hand the ones that stayed clean. It always went the same way, they'd do pretty good on work release, do pretty good in the halfway houses, and then within a month of getting away from all that they would go back on the pipe and fuck their whole life up. Even my boss went back to it after being clean 9 years and lost everything. Every single one would also claim they weren't addicted and could control it. The honest few said they'd think about it every single day even when they weren't using and admitted they were lifelong addicts just fighting to not use and it was the best feeling they ever had in their lives.
