I read your essay and can't disagree. I've known 5 females very, very well in my life and all of them are liars. The last of whom was very quirky and seemed so genuine... turned out she was a prolific liar. She cheated on every guy she's ever been with except maybe her high school BF (I have no way of knowing).
Judging them on their actions and friends is the best litmus test. Get them to spill dirt on their friends and you'll get a glimpse behind their curtain. At the end of the day it's not worth it.
