what was the point of the appmon subfranchise?

the overwhelming majority of appmon looked like garbage but if there's one good thing about bandai finally letting them out of dead nigga storage after a decade is the fact that the handful of cool/sexo designs can finally be known by more than 15 people

A lot of Digimon fans adamantly defend the Appmon anime to this day, since it's supposedly one of the ones with a real good plot that takes itself seriously. I never watched it so i can't comment on it.
As for the designs, yeah most of them are ugly little bobble-headed gremlins, though there are some genuinely pretty good design highlights, particularly at the higher levels.

You better get used to them, they're in the proccess of being revived and integrated into the rest of the franchise after nearly a decade of being exclusive to some forgotten spin-off anime and vidya, which is how people like that guy became aware of some of the better appmon designs like the shortstack bra fox.
