"Hard/tricky input games dont sell'"is immense copium, NG games arent that hard. Theres obvious examples of games that can get as hard or harder than NG4 if you ramp up the difficulty high enough, similary being pretty easy if you just choose low difficulties or during early game content
In early 2023, ULTRAKILL put out an update that consisted almost exclusively of one (1) long-awaited autism superboss level, that even before the highest difficulties came out provided significant assrape and forced you to be good at tricks and combos to not die 50-300 times without reaching for insane levels of crutchiness and unequivocally harder, to deathlessly beat than anything in NG4. It singlehandedly spiked its playercount almost twice as high as NG4's peak. a mere update
Later into its lifetime, ULTRATROON put out an update where the new content was introducing the second-highest difficulty setting and the first two of a new type of lategame level filled with assrape enemy encounters, both combined being harder than anything NG4's normal enemy encounters have to offer on MN outside of these meme "die in one hit lol" challenges. And that unironically made the game sell and spike tis playercount to thrice as high as NG4 had on release
So based on the success of ULTRASHIT i doubt hard games cant sell, nor that NG4 doesnt have plenty of easy accessible difficulty settings and easy content that allow anyone to enjoy it just like ULTRAKEK
