No, because you were EXPECTING it to be another obese guy. The funniest jokes are where you don't see the punchline coming, they surprise you, but it still makes sense. They call it "subverting your expectations". In this case, when the busty blonde online girlfriend says she looks "different on the outside, but this is the REAL me" you're thinking "Uh oh, this guy got catfished by a fat ugly troon". In the third panel you see that the tall handsome guy is actually a fat balding slob in a VR headset, and the pretty girl is actually a self-driving car. Finally we get the punchline, where the guy is okay with his online girlfriend being a car in real life, and he's having mad sex with the car in the middle of a parking lot at night.

This is actually such a hilarious concept they could stretch it out to an entire episode of Black Mirror.
